Q - How are youth referred to BAYS programs?

A - Youth are referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice

Q - Is there a fee for youth who participate in BAYS programs?

A - All of BAYS programs are free to participants

Q - What is the status of my child’s record after completing one of BAYS programs?

A - If a youth has successfully completed a diversion program, no petition will be filed in Juvenile Court for their juvenile offense.

Q - How can my child receive services if he/she has not been arrested?

A - If your child resides within a Prodigy service area, he/she may be eligible to attend Prodigy arts programs. Call your local BAYS office to find out if you reside in a Prodigy area.

Q - Who provides services to youth in areas that BAYS does not serve?

A - Contact the local Department of Juvenile Justice office to find out who provides juvenile services in your area.
